After discovering this fab theme on jpgmag.com, I decided to go for it and try and take a self portrait for every day of the year.  I didn’t actually come across it until about the 10th day into 2009, but I figured missing a few can’t hurt.  I mean, back in school even if you missed a few questions on a test you could still get an A.

The point is that I’ll be taking photos – of myself no less, which I actually hate to do – every day of the year (I’m sure I’ll slack here and there, but such is life).  It’ll be impossible to not grow as a photographer.  Especially as the most difficult thing I face when starting a project is picking a theme before shooting.  As that is taken care of, now the most difficult thing will be to make each shot look fresh.

Here goes the first eight photos.  And FYI – now and in the future, skin may be shown.  Provocative photos are sexy and although my father doesn’t particularly enjoy the body series that resides in my portfolio for all of the interweb to see, I don’t particularly enjoy being censored.  I’m not a slutty little 16 year old posting naked photos on her myspace profile.  At least I have a blog.
