Snowy Cold in Brooklyn

February 1st, 2009

This is my least favorite time of year, but somehow this winter doesn’t seem to be so harsh.  It’s very cold, but somehow refreshing.  I feel like I drink too much, but it’s really the same as usual.  It’s just that I stay home and drink wine instead of keeping half the bars downtown in business.  Which saves me some bucks and then makes it okay to totally splurge on a really sexy pair of Frye boots.  Though I did feel the need to repent my indulgence because of my new found vegan guilt.  Which has made me into quite the healthy chef as of late.  I swear that every recipe in this cookbook makes the most delicious meal you have ever eaten.  I have neighbors trying to steal my banana bread and knocking on the door when they know I’ll be home making dinner and it makes me feel like Monica Gellar.  I’ve been taking some photos, too, because even though I’m just biding my time until it’s about a thousand degrees with humidity, snow really is beautiful.  I suppose you could call this my January Hibernation Photo Diary.
